Training and development

IN VINE PRUNING

Simonit&Sirch is a consulting and training company in vine pruning and training. We are known as pruninguys. For 15 years we have being developing a pruning method, that we transfer to pruners with a precise and rigorous path of mentoring, with the aim of enhancing the know-how in the vineyard.

Vineyard screening

MONITORING THE VINEYARD

Initial monitoring the vineyard, in order to assess its health: we take into consideration the pruning techniques in use by the company and the trunk section of the vines. Results are shared with the company and the whole work detail.

Choice of the treatment

A SHARED DECISION

Choice of the treatment according to the oenological production goals of the company. It is therefore a shared decision how pruning method can be best adapted to the needs and perspectives of the company.

Specific to vine training systems

CUSTUMIZED SOLUTIONS

We create custom training and learning solutions for all types of wineries and specific to vine training systems, helping to improve skills and behaviors.

On field tutoring

IN WINTER AND SPRING PRUNING

On-field lessons last the whole winter and the whole spring. The tutor works together with vignerons and assists each worker in the vineyard.

PRUNING AS TEAMWORK

LIKE A PARTNERSHIP

Our training approach is like a partnership. Each tutor leads the winery through a path which involves for its whole duration the vignerons and the head of the wine company and the property.

QUALITY CHECK

RESULTS ACHIEVED, OBJECTIVES FOR THE FUTURE

Verifying the quality of the work performed during the tutoring and, at the end of the activity, reporting the considerations of the tutors on the works of that year, the results achieved, and the objectives for the next year.

VINE SURGERY

A STRATEGY TO FIGHT ESCA DISEASE

We have found evidence of a technique that has the aim to eliminate the dry rot and accelerate healing.

We have designed a training experience in vine surgery.
