Simonit&Sirch is the only international consulting and training company in vine pruning.
We are known as the Vine Master Pruners, our team has extensive experience in training projects in France, Italy and worldwide.
As consultants, we are involved in projects from the earliest stages of vineyard planting and typically provide full consulting services for pruning and training vines from root to adult vine.
Our expertise and consultancy skills extend beyond pruning management to include the design of new training systems, leaf wall management, soil and vineyard analysis, and vine surgery.
We provide our services to over 150 wineries, in 15 countries, spanning the world’s most important wine-growing districts.

We have developed a pruning method, that we transfer to pruners with a precise and rigorous coaching process in the vineyard, with the aim of ensuring the longevity of the vines and taking them to the best vegetative and productive balance.
In summary, the Simonit&Sirch Pruning is based on 4 simple but important principles, and can be adapted to any variety, climate and form of training: allowing the plant to branch with age, occupy space with the trunk and branches; guarantee the continuity of the lymphatic flow; make small cuts on young wood, not very invasive; use, when necessary, the so-called “respect wood” technique to remove the desiccation from the main sap flow.
In January 2021, we founded the Simonit&Sirch Vine Master Pruners Academy, the world’s first digital platform fully dedicated to vine pruning training. The project includes online training courses alongside practice in the vineyard.
In our schools in Europe and the USA, we have trained more than 5,000 skilled pruners: Pruning School (Napa Valley College), UK Pruning School (Plumpton College), Rebschintt Schule (Hochschule Geisenheim University), Hungarian Pruning School (Egger University).
Marco Simonit is the author of two absolutely innovative Vine Pruning Manuals dedicated to Guyot (2014) and Spurred Cordon (2017). With more than 400 illustrations, they focus attention on the importance of pruning, giving a leading role to a craft with ancient origins.
They are addressed to winegrowers and technicians, but also to universities, schools, green and nature enthusiasts.
